Adult Programs

The purpose of Adult Faith Formation programs is to provide adult parishioners with opportunities to grow in faith and spirituality through Bible studies, doctrinal studies, faith sharing groups, prayer groups, retreats, and other opportunities for continuing faith formation. For more information, please call Msgr. John at (949) 249 4091 or email him.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The RCIA program provides several stages of faith formation for individuals who are seeking baptism in the Catholic Church, and those who have been baptized in other Christian traditions who wish to explore the Catholic faith as a way to live their faith and deepen their relationship with Christ.
This time of preparation, prior to initiation into the Church, includes formation in liturgy, prayer, doctrine, service, Christian morality, and traditions of the Church within a community of people seeking deeper faith.
All stages of the RCIA - Inquiry, Catechumenate, Enlightenment, and Mystagogy - meet weekly on Sunday mornings in the Fireside Room. The weekly schedule includes attendance at the 9:00am Mass, then a break for coffee, then a catechetical session from 10:30 - 11:30am. Those desiring to become Catholic will move through the various stages in their preparation. The time for preparation varies depending upon the person's baptismal status, previous religious instruction, and other factors. For most people, it is a one year commitment.
Individuals may begin the Catechumenate process at any time during the year. The first stage of the process, the pre-catechumenate, is a time to explore questions about the Church and to begin to form an appreciation for the liturgy and Scripture readings heard at Sunday Mass. This takes place in a small group setting in a casual conversational style.
A person seeking to learn about the Church may remain in this period of preparation for as long as desired, but the opportunity to transition into the more formal instruction of the Catechumenate is offered typically three times per year, when those individuals who feel they are prepared to move forward are called to celebrate the Rites of Acceptance and Welcome.
For information as to when the next Rite of Acceptance and Welcome is scheduled, please contact Msgr. John at the parish office or by email.
Adult Confirmation Programs
For those Catholics who have been baptized and have received Holy Communion, but have not yet been Confirmed, a 10 week process (usually beginning in mid January) will provide the opportunity to learn more, grow in faith, and deepen in spirituality in preparation for Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday.Coming Home
Coming Home programs are provided on a regular basis to offer opportunities to those Catholics who, for whatever reason, have not felt welcome nor been active in the Church. These pastorally sensitive sessions try to help people, where they are, to work through any issues they might have and to welcome them back home to the Church.Men and Women's Bible Studies
Women meet each Wednesday morning from 10:00 - 11:30am in the Upper Room for the Little Rock Bible Study program. The study comprises about 10 weeks in the autumn and then 10 weeks in the spring.
