
Outreach Ministries

At St. Timothy's we offer a number of Outreach and Christian Service ministries to help provide practical assistance and spiritual support to those in need. We also offer support for our elderly and homebound parishioners, as well as groups for Singles and Young Adults. We welcome your involvement, support, and participation in these ministries. Pastoral Care/Food Pantry
Pastoral Care serves the emergency and temporary needs of families in our parish and community with financial aid, problem management, and food distribution through our food pantry. Please contact St. Vincent de Paul Society at 249-4092.
We also sponsor special projects such as Thanksgiving Baskets, and Adopt-A-Family and the Giving Tree for Christmas. For more information or to volunteer, please call Bob Haeussler @249-4092.
Food for the Homeless
Six days a week we have teams who gather in our kitchen to prepare and distribute food for the homeless. We provide hot meals and bagged lunches for homeless men, women, and children. We welcome your participation in this ministry. For information, please contact Madelon Weinberg at 212-3755.
Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick and Homebound
These Eucharistic Ministers take Communion, Sunday bulletins, and the encouragement of community to our elderly, sick, and homebound. To learn more, please contact Sally Hotchkiss at 249-4096.
Friendly Visitors
The Friendly Visitor program provides our senior and homebound parishioners with visitors who offer listening ears, understanding hearts and the presence and friendship of parish community. Friendly Visitors offer an hour or two a week to visit in teams of two. We provide ongoing training and support. 50+ Singles Group
We are a group centered on friendship, fellowship, and faith. We have four activities a month, including our Fourth Friday Potlucks. Other special events are offered throughout the year. Young Adult Group
The Young Adult Group gladly welcomes any young adults in their 20s and 30s. We have a weekly bible study, a monthly social gathering with a guest speaker ("Chatterbox"), and various social events and service opportunities. Divorce Recovery
Where do I go now? What is the next step? What do I do with children, the ex, finances, dating, and living single in a couple's world? Our Divorce Recovery group offers the opportunity for support, wisdom, and emotional and spiritual growth. The group is led by a Marriage and Family therapist who is specialized and personally experienced in divorce recovery. For information, please contact Kelly Klaus @ 292-7281.
Single Parenting Challenges and Solutions: How can I be the best mom or dad to my 6-year-old, my preteen, my teenager as a single or divorced parent? This group offers support, wisdom and practical and creative solutions to the parenting challenges and issues experienced by single and divorced parents. Coping with Grief and Loss: Bereavement and major life losses create the most challenging and painful passages in our lives. In January - February and July - August we offer eight-week support groups for those who have suffered the death of a loved one or experienced a major life loss. Bereavement Support Group
Where do I go where people will understand my grief and companion me in my sadness and mourning? Twice a year - March through June and September through December - we offer an on-going bereavement support group led by a trained bereavement facilitator.
