Funerals

At this most important time in the lives of people, St. Timothy Parish reaches out to assist families in preparation for the funeral rites of their loved ones. The process begins by calling the parish office for the Bereavement Minister (or calling the Bereavement Ministry number directly) who will arrange for a meeting with the family. At this time, the details for the funeral rites can be discussed and dates and times set for them.

The three most common Funeral Rites are: the Vigil Service (the evening before the Funeral); the Funeral Mass (which is held in the parish church); the Burial Service at the cemetery. All of these will be discussed with the family of the deceased so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

For parish families, the parish hall is made available (at no charge) for receptions following the funeral. Please check with the Bereavement Ministry regarding the details for this hospitality offered by the parish.
